The House of Neighborly Service
The House of Neighborly Service (HNS) is a nonprofit, multi-service neighborhood center which has been providing services to low-income, Hispanic residents of the Westside of San Antonio for 100 years. Founded in 1917 by Presbyterian missionaries, HNS became incorporated as a 501 (C)(3) nonprofit agency. HNS serves children, families, and seniors who reside in neighborhoods of San Antonio with the highest rates of child abuse and neglect, domestic violence, drug/alcohol abuse, diabetes, depression, and chronic illnesses. These primarily include residents in zip codes 78207, 78228, and 78237.
At House of Neighborly Service, they are motivated by compassion to serve others while preserving their dignity as they build community together.
