Serving foster youth since 2016, Day 1 Bags believes in attention to detail and strives to provide the highest quality duffel bags, backpacks, and vital document bags to youth in foster care who move from shelter to shelter.  Since its inception, Day 1 Bags has served over 45,000 foster and at-risk youth across 24 states.

Mission

Day 1 Bag’s mission is to provide brand new duffle bags and backpacks to foster youth instead of trash bags as luggage when being removed from their homes or moved from shelter to shelter.

Vision

Eliminate the use of trash bags as a form of luggage when a child enters into care, between shelters, or ages out of care.

A Serenity Activity Pack (ASAP)

The A Serenity Activity Pack (ASAP) Initiative was designed to give various law enforcement a bag filled with necessary supplies like fidget spinners, plush toys, coloring books, and wipes for police to give to children while encountering a situation. It is our desire of making every encounter with the men and women that keep us safe in law enforcement to be comforting, safe, and caring for all children.
