SA Christian Hope Resource Center (CHRC) exists to offer grace-filled mentoring and programs to empower individuals and families experiencing crisis and poverty to become sustainable. CHRC’s quality mentoring relationships, connections to public assistance programs, targeted referrals, community support, and holistic wrap-around services strategically and preventatively help each client end their cycle of poverty.

Programs:

The “Mentoring Out of Poverty” program is the epicenter of CHRC’s mission. This vital program, holistically enhances the lives of working poor individuals and families in the community to become food secure and increasingly sustainable on a long-term basis. With their personal mentors, staff social workers and MSW interns, clients create a goal-based plan to address and overcome their unique barriers resulting in poverty. Mentors walk side-by-side with their clients as they achieve higher levels of sustainability, while offering grace, accountability, and support along the way.

Vision

“They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.” Jeremiah 17:8 (NIV)
