Believe It Foundation began in 2008 by Andrew McAllister for the purpose of enriching the lives of physically challenged children through the inclusion of those children in the lives and experiences of those who do not face the same limitations.

Since inception, the Foundation has supported hundreds of children with physical challenges to get off the sidelines and jump into the game through school-based programs, camps, excursions, social activities, and college scholarships. The vision from the beginning has been to create widespread belief in a world where physically challenged individuals have every right to be our colleagues at work, our friends at dinner, and join others in being powerful advocates for what a more inclusive future looks like.

PROGRAMS:

1

Believe It Bikes in School

Believe It Foundation partners with schools and districts to scale social inclusion and create on-ramps for authentic relationships, stretching experiences, and future opportunities. The school setting is our greatest opportunity for change and the pathway to reach the most people because of the frequency of daily interactions and structural supports in place for youth with physical challenges.
2

Camp Hope

Since its inception in 2008 the Foundation has sent youth with physical challenges to T Bar M Camps through a specialized program called Camp Hope. It started when Andrew was a camper himself at T Bar M. The camp adapted the entire experience so that Andrew could participate in as much of the experience as any typical camper. Since that time, T Bar M has evolved the program to include specialized training for counselors, slightly modified programming, and updated facilities for improved access. Through Foundation scholarships, youth with physical challenges get to go to camp, engage with typical campers in their cabins, and dive into stretching but supported physical activities.
3

Ride an Adaptive Bike

With our mission of inclusion of physically-challenged children in mind, Believe It Foundation has developed a city-wide adaptive bike program that allows ALL children an opportunity to ride a bike. We understand that children with disabilities often miss out on social and physical activities that many take for granted–like riding a bicycle. We want ALL children to have the opportunity to experience the joy of a bike ride with friends and family!
